A crucial organisation aimed at improving the wellbeing of men in Collinsville will have a new shed under an LNP-elected government.

A $400,000 announcement to construct a new shed for the Collinsville Men’s Shed organisation has been revealed by LNP candidate for Burdekin Dale Last who recognised the vital role the organisation plays in the regional community.

Mr Last said the new shed for Collinsville Men’s Shed was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders and providing much needed options in our rural communities.

“The Collinsville Men’s Shed is a grassroots organisation that not only benefits its members but the wider community, and it’s why I am proud to announce that if elected in October, the LNP will give Collinsville Men’s Shed a new facility that will more than double their current capacity and provide much needed space in which to house their equipment.”

“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots infrastructure like a new home for our Collinsville Men’s Shed.”

“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our communities.”

Mr Last said Queenslanders could vote for a new facility for the Collinsville Men’s Shed and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.

“I am proud of the hard work that community organisations achieve right across the electorate and the Collinsville Men’s Shed is no exception to this.”

“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to ensure the right focus on delivering the programs, services and communities for our state.”

“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
