A multimillion-dollar upgrade to the Clermont Swimming Centre will be a reality under an LNP-elected government.

Children learning to swim in Clermont will be able to do so in a heated, learn-to-swim program pool following a $3.2million commitment by the LNP.

Member for Burdekin Dale Last MP said the upgrade to the Clermont Swimming Centre would mean learning to swim would be more accessible to residents and visitors to Clermont.

“The LNP will restore respect for your money, delivering projects on time and on budget, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Mr Last said.

“I have been proud to work with the Clermont community  as the  Member for Burdekin and to take up the fight on multiple issues,  so it gives me great pleasure to know that this community can look forward to an upgraded swimming facility.”

“This announcement is not only great news for residents and visitors in Clermont, but also children who rely on the learn-to-swim facility.”

“Queenslanders are currently paying far more and getting far less under Labor.

"Time's up for Labor’s expensive failures which have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts, that could have instead delivered local infrastructure like the Clermont Swimming Centre.”

Mr Last said Queenslanders could vote for the upgrades to the Clermont Swimming Pool and a government focused on driving down cost pressures, by voting LNP at this election.

“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to restore respect for their money,” Mr Last said.

“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
