Students at Clermont State School will have a safer place to be active during lunch times under a long-awaited upgrade an expansion of the current play area under and LNP government.

Member for Burdekin Dale Last said the play space would mean that Clermont State School students had access to a safer and bigger play area, fostering physical activity and passion for outdoor play.

“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Mr Last said.

“Having an upgraded and expanded play area for students at Clermont State School means that we are providing students in regional Queensland with the opportunity to enjoy quality outdoor play in a space that prioritises the safety of students.”

“Queenslanders need a fresh start, and a new play area for Clermont State School is part of restoring a government that educates young Queenslanders, boosts our skills training facilities and provides our students with safe learning spaces no matter where you live.”

“While Labor’s failures have seen approximately 40 per cent of students failing maths and literacy national standards, a statewide teacher shortage and attendance rates plummet.”

Mr Last said Queenslanders could vote for an upgraded and expanded play area for Clermont State School and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.

“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to deliver the programs, infrastructure at our schools, training and services we need for the future,” Mr Last said.

“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
