Petition
A Petition is a formal request signed by at least one person and placed before the Parliament with the object of persuading the Parliament to take some particular action.

For example, a petition may request the alteration of the general law or the re-consideration of an administrative decision.
The Queensland Parliament accepts petitions in either a paper or an on-line format.
All petitions to the Queensland Parliament require the input of a Member of Parliament or the Clerk of the Parliament.
If you would like to begin a petition, please contact our office for more information and assistance by calling 1800 817 594 or by email to burdekin@parliament.qld.gov.au
Current E-Petitions can be viewed and signed by clicking here. Please note that, due to their nature, paper petitions are only available from the petitioner or the supporting Member of Parliament.
